#Manchester United have reportedly tabled a £42.1million bid for Sergio Ramos, with #Real Madrid considering accepting the offer as they step up their pursuit of David De Gea.
United have stood firm in their negotiations with Madrid throughout the summer, insisting that De Gea will only be sold if Ramos goes the other way.
And it appears that a deal is now closer than ever after United submitted a fresh bid for the Spanish centre-back.
According to El Pais, United lodged the offer over the weekend, with Madrid increasingly open to accepting as they search for a capable successor to Iker Casillas.
