D Apc Leaders Hail Buhari’s Fight Against Insurgency

  Osun State House of Assembly member representing Obokun Constituency, Mr. Olatubosun Oyintiloye, says President Muhammadu Buhari has performed well in tackling the Boko Haram insurgency within his first 100 days in office.

The All Progressives Congress lawmaker said this while speaking with some political leaders in Ibokun on Sunday.

While Oyintiloye spoke in Ibokun, the Osun State Coordinator of the Buhari/Osinbajo Campaign Organisation, Senator Mudasiru Husain, while addressing some leaders of the APC in the Ejigbo area of the state, said the President had ensured improvement in electricity supply to many homes across the country within his first 100 days.

Nigeria’s Acting High Commissioner to Tanzania, Ambassador Salisu Umaru has praised the arrangements made by the Nigeria Football Federation ahead of Saturday’s 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier away to Tanzania.
 
Umaru who spoke when some NFF Management officials visited the High Commission of Nigeria in Dar es Salaam, said the excellent arrangements for the players and officials were worthy of praise.

Oliseh Promise Next Match Will Be Better

Nigeria coach Sunday Oliseh has described the 0-0 draw against Tanzania as satisfactory while promising Nigerians that the next game will be better than what was seen of the Super Eagles against the Taifa Stars of Tanzania on Saturday in Dar es Salaam.

Oliseh who spoke with reporters said he was okay that his team did not lose the game given the short time they have been together so far.

He said, “I can describe the match as a game of two halves because we struggled in the first half but came back strongly in the second half containing the Tanzanians, who also played very well.

Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo says it will be impossible to assess the policy direction of President Muhammadu Buhari in just 100 days in office.

He, however, expressed the optimism that with the path that the President had taken in restructuring Nigeria, Nigerians’ expectations would be met.

  The Senior Special Assistant to the President and Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, says President Muhammadu Buhari never promised to rescue the Chibok girls on the second day of his administration.

Shehu said this in an interview with our correspondent in Abuja on Sunday.

He explained that while the anxiety among Nigerians was understandable, it was better to allow the President to do a thorough job even as he focuses on key areas to revive the nation.
