Tunisia ’94 Africa Cup of Nations winner Edema Fuludu has warned the national Under-23 team coach Samson Siasia that radically overhauling his squad could scupper the country’s chances of qualifying for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
Siasia on Tuesday declared his readiness to make serious changes to his squad for the Africa Under-23 Cup of Nations in Senegal after guiding Nigeria to a surprise 3-1 defeat to Burkina Faso in the semifinals of the Brazzaville 2015 All Africa Games men’s football match on Tuesday.
But his former Super Eagles teammate Fuludu believes Siasia needs very few players in the Senegal 2015 squad to turn their fortunes around.
Nigeria are drawn in the same group against Egypt, Algeria and Mali in the eight-team Africa Under-23 Cup of Nations from November 28 to December 12. The three top finishers will represent the continent at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
“It’s sad that we lost to Burkina Faso,” Fuludu, who won the Tunisia ’94 Africa Cup of Nations alongside Siasia, told our correspondent on the telephone on Wednesday.

Dirty Panties Harbour Germs!
Do you itch down there? Do you perceive offensive odour from your genital area? Or have you been treating vaginal infections too frequently? If you answer in the affirmative to at least two of these questions, it may be time for you to throw your panties in the trash bin.
Many of us are guilty of wearing our underwear and panties for too long. Even when they have stains that won’t wash off or if they already have holes and patches, we still keep wearing them. People do this not because they can’t afford to buy new set of undies, but sometimes simply because they have become attached to them.
While we agree that it is not so easy to get the right fit of underwear, doctors say that wearing old underwear could predispose one to urinary tract and vaginal infections.

Candidiasis is Not ‘Toilet Disease’
In my last piece, I talked about the feedback I received from a female reader who said she has been having whitish vaginal discharge since 2010, which she said comes and goes after undergoing different types of treatment.
She made two requests, the first being a request for a drug prescription; while the second was a request to send her a reply through the e-mail platform.
The first request was turned down because prescription by proxy is against the ethics of the medical profession.
A young lady who has similar symptoms with the scenario described above came for a consultation, with the history of whitish vaginal discharge. The following conversations took place during the consultation:

Visa Scam!! Police Arrest Indian in Lagos
The Nigeria Police have arrested a Dubai-based Indian national, Mr Mohammed Shazul, for allegedly procuring a Dubai visa using a Nigerian’s name without his consent.
Sources close to Federal Criminal Intelligence Investigation Department Annex, Alagbon Close, Lagos, made the disclosure to the News Agency of Nigeria on Thursday.
The source said that operatives from the FCIID arrested Shazul after a petition by the Nigerian, Mr Ayodotun Babalola, to the police authorities.
It said the Indian, Vice-President of Fast Logistics Solution Group, an air cargo company based in Dubai was arrested at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, on Monday on arrival from Dubai.

No More Naira Depreciation
The naira should not be devalued further, President Muhammadu Buhari said on Wednesday, despite the Central Bank of Nigeria’s growing struggles to keep the naira at current levels.
The nation’s revenue has been hit hard by the fall of global crude prices, and the CBN has imposed increasingly strict foreign exchange rules to save the external reserves and avoid what would be the third devaluation in one year.
The central bank had devalued the naira in November last year and February this year.
Despite the CBN’s uphill struggle to keep the naira from falling further, Buhari believes the naira must not be devalued.
“I don’t think it is healthy for us to have the naira devalued further,” Buhari said in an interview with France 24.

Chicken Benefits to Our Health
The health benefits of chicken include its good supply of protein content, the supply of essential vitamins and minerals, benefits in losing weight, cholesterol control, blood pressure control, and a reduced risk of cancer.
Chicken is the most common type of poultry in the world. It has been domesticated and consumed as food for thousands of years. It is believed that chickens were first domesticated in India thousands of years ago, primarily for cockfighting and later for meat consumption. Later, chickens spread to other parts of Asia, Africa, and Europe and eventually to the Americas. Chickens in the Americas were brought from Europe by the early colonists.

PM Buhari shouldn’t fail Kogi test
A hunter that is selective in his choice of animals while hunting may end up returning home empty handed.
President Muhammadu Buhari anti-corruption crusade is under test in Kogi State. The just-concluded All Progressives Congress governorship primary in the state was clearly a test of this administration’s war against corruption.
The APC governorship primary in Kogi State has come and gone, but the dust it raised has not settled. The governorship primary was keenly contested by 27 candidates including a former governor Prince Abubakar Audu, who was declared winner.
Audu’s emergence in that primary is the bone of contention. It is unimaginable seeing the former governor coming back to rule a state he allegedly looted dry. You can’t have your cake and eat it!

Nwosu to Siasia- You Need New Player
Former Nigeria captain, Henry Nwosu, has urged the national Under-23 team coach Samson Siasia to invite new players to strengthen his squad ahead of the 2015 U-23 Africa Cup of Nations.
The U-23 team on Tuesday lost 3-1 to Burkina Faso in the semi-final of the ongoing 2015 All Africa Games.
Nwosu, who spoke to our correspondent on Wednesday, said the team needed sharp attackers to qualify for the 2016 Olympics.
“The team has a good technical department which is led by Siasia,” he said.
