Ramadan Day 21 The Final Lap

We've all come this far in Ramadan.

         

We’ve come this far.
The whole month of Ramadan narrows down to these last ten days, to the Night with destiny, the Night of Majesty.

From Suratul Qadr, we learn it is a night worth more than a thousand months, that’s over 83 years. So basically, it’s a lifetime opportunity.

There are narrations from the early generations that we should search for the night in the odd nights. Note that the night comes before the day. That is, the night before the 21 fast is the 21 night.

But there’s an efficient formula to not missing the night. Gold miners dig enter portions of earth in search of tiny pieces of gold.

In other not to miss the treasures, they sift through every grain of sand. That way, they hardly ever miss it.

Perhaps if we used this formula, we’d never miss the Night in shaa Allah.

'Aishah [ra] reported:

I asked: "O Messenger of Allah! If I realize Lailat-ul-Qadr (Night of Decree), what should I supplicate in it?" He (ﷺ) replied, "You should supplicate: Allahumma innaka 'afuwwun, tuhibbul-'afwa, fa'fu 'anni (O Allah, You are Most Forgiving, and You love forgiveness; so forgive me)."

[At-Tirmidhi].

Remember, if you can, perform Itikhaf. This is to spend the last ten days in seclusion in the masjid.

Seek forgiveness in these last ten days till your mouth runs dry. Remember your loved ones in du’a. Remember the Ummah.

May Allah forgive us our sins and grant us Jannatul Firdaus.
