Nollywood actor, turned politician, Honourable Desmond Elliot is rallying the support of the Lagos State House Of Assembly for his first constituency – movie industry.
He recently rallied other members of the House to a meeting with top Nollywood actors, producers and movie marketers to have a discussion on piracy.

Those present at the meeting included, Honourables Funmi Tejuosho, Segun Olulade, Dipo Olorunrinu, Shakirudeen Giwa, Olusegun Yishawu, Akande, Adedamola Kasumu, Desmond Elliot and others.
Actors present at the parley were Prince Jide Kosoko, Ramsey Nuoah, Chinedu Ikedieze, Osita Iheme, Kalu Ikeagwu, Joseph Benjamin, Uti Nwachukwu, Rotimi Kushoro and many others.
Before winning the election, Desmond was a sought after Nollywood actor, movie producer and director. Piracy is one of the major headaches of the entertainment industry in Nigeria.
