High Blood Pressure Cripples The Body
IN Nigeria and environs, High Blood Pressure, a.k.a. Hypertension, is increasingly becoming a problem. It puts people at risk of heart disease, kidney disease and stroke. Already a massive hidden killer, High Blood Pressure is set to sharply rise as Nigerians adopt western diets and sedentary lifestyles.
High blood pressure is twice as high in Nigeria compared with most neighbouring countries and less than 1 in 5 Nigerians are aware that they are hypertensive.
It is estimated that one in-three men and one-in-four women are hypertensive, and this is set to rise to 39 million cases by 2030. It is particularly worrisome that high blood pressure is treated effectively in less than 10 per cent of cases.
As one of the most prevalent Non Communicable diseases worldwide, hypertension is responsible for an estimated 45 percent of deaths due to heart disease and 51 percent of deaths due to stroke globally.

Parents Should Allow Thier Children To Study The Courses Of Their Choice
Vice-Principal, Corona Secondary School, Mr. Paul Oba has urged parents to allow their children study whatever course they are good at, nothing that success in does not only depend on your discipline but on what you have passion in. He stated this during Corona Secondary School’s three days Art Exhibition held at Gbagada branch of the school to mark the school 60th anniversary.
He urged parents to let go of their child who have talents in art. Records abound out there about people who went through education to do what their parents want them do. At the end of the day, they still came back to what they have passion for. People are earning their livelihood on things they take as hobby. Oba said: “It is not about forcing the child to do what you want, if you do, the child will not be happy. Some people who obeyed their parents doing what they want, ended up dropping it for what they love. We have a lot of parents in our school who came to us to say, “I went through this and I don’t want my children to go through that.”
Eagles Still Needs To Be Work On
Benin – A former coach of the Golden Eaglet, Godwin Izilein, on Monday said that the Super Eagles victory against the Cameroonian national team, should not be taken to mean “the Eagles have arrived.’’
The Eagles on Sunday defeated the Indomitable Lions 3-0 in an international friendly in Belgium as part of Eagles preparation for the World Cup and Nations Cup qualifiers.
Izilein said in Benin that although the Eagles won the match, they committed lots of mistakes during the match.
The former coach observed that the mistakes included Eagles streams of faulty passes and play.
“I had expected a sharp improvement from our match against Congo but what I saw against Cameroon wasn’t encouraging.
“The passes were not only faulty but questionable as well.
“We must not lose the fact that much work needs to be done on the team.
“Even though we won, we didn’t play well and for the fact that we played against 10 players,” he said.
Eagles Humiliated Cameroun

Incidentally, it was just minutes after Ambrose almost put the ball into his own net when his back pass beat an onrushing goalkeeper Carl Ikeme.
