The Barcelona talisman walked out of his country after crashing out of the World Cup Former coach Cesar Luis Menotti has allayed fears about Messi emotional struggles

Lionel Messi recently agreed to play for Argentina but former coach Cesar Luis Menotti has revealed he is "afraid" by the thought of Lionel Messi returning to the national team.
The Barcelona superstar will play a part in their friendly games against Venezuela and Morocco since abandoning the country after last summer's World Cup.
Menotti who was Argentina's 1978 World Cup winning coach and now the director of his country's national teams, is concerned about the pressure on the shoulders of Messi.

The 31-year-old scored a magnificent hat-trick against Real Betis at the weekend in Barca's 4-1 but Menotti believes Messi has played under more pressure representing his country.

"I'm afraid that Messi plays," Menotti told FM 94.7 .
"I see him with important emotional fatigue between the Champions League and the national team.
I see him very tired. "If he wants to play with Argentina, better."

Messi's return to captain his national team comes ahead of the 2019 Copa America tournament in Brazil where he will be attempting to win a silverware at international level.

The 31-year-old could not help his south American side avoid defeat to eventual winners France in the last 16 stage last summer.
